I got a chance to go to the movies last night to see Eat Pray Love starring Julia Roberts. I must say that I really enjoyed the movie. It's one of those movies that encourage you to take a long look at your life and determine if you are living the life that you truly love. She gave up a the life that she knew to start completely over and she struggled with some of the tough decisions that she made but at the end she was happy with the way life was turning out. She took a chance on happiness and living the life that she had envisioned for herself. The movie really touched a lot of nerves with me. Hence the reason I am talking about here today and recommending it. I thought about some of the things that I wanted to do before my time here is up. I asked myself some serious questions, but I am still afraid to get the answers to. I will share this with you all though. I've always wanted to learn how to swim, so I will be taking swimming lessons. I always wanted to learn how to play the piano, so that's on my list of things to do. I want to visit Egypt, Jerusalem, and Africa. I will be visiting Africa in November. I always wanted to have my own private retreat complete with wood burning fireplaces where I could get together with friends and just do whatever it is we wanted to do. Oh yeah and I want a motorcycle. Just writing all of this stuff down reminds me of the Bucket List starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson.
So if you get a chance check out the movie and stop back by and let me know your thoughts and how the movie affected your life.

Does Your Image Match Your Business?
First impressions means so much. So my topic of the day is does your image match your business? Last weekend I attended a home party with a friend who is a distributor of adult novelty products. She had a pretty nice show and her sales were pretty nice also. Well during her presentation of the products one of the women said that she looked like a school teacher and she was really amazed at the type of business she was in. Well when my friend completed the show and had left the house where the ladies were, she got a called from the hostess saying that some other people had just showed up and wanted to order some more products. When my friend arrived back at the house she told was told by the hostess how everyone thought she was cute, but she looked so conservative, much like a librarian. This really disturbed my friend because she said that she thought she looked sexy. So she did a little family poll to get the opinion from those who see her everyday and they all told her she was somewhat plain. So now she has decided to do a total makeover to make sure that her image matched her business. I started to wonder if she was a little bit more sexy would that have any bearing on her sales. Would she have made more money than she did? I thought this was interesting so I had to ask myself does my image match my business and I decided that I too, could stand to up my game a bit.
So does your image match your business? Just something to think about.

Micro-Loans For Small Business Owners
There is an organization called Kiva. This organization provides small business micro-loans to entrepreneurs. Up until 14 months ago these loans were only available to individuals outside of the U.S. But now Kiva has made the service available to business owners here in the U.S as well. In order to take advantage of this service you have to sign up at Kiva.org. The loans for small business owners in the U.S. are distributed by Accion USA which is a non-profit organization that came on as a field partner with Kiva. The requirements are not as tough as a bank for small businesses in the U.S., but they are not as relaxed as the requirements for those in other countries. So if you have at least a 575 credit score which is what is needed to obtain a micro-loan in the states you may want to go to Accion http://www.AccionUSA.org and check them out to see if they can help you.
Now if you want to become a lender, you can do so by lending just $25 by going to Kiva and opening up an account. To most of us in the U.S. $25 can't hardly buy business cards, but for entrepreneurs around the world in countries with high poverty levels, $25 could mean the start of a new life. Because I am going to Liberia and building the women's business center, I have decided to set up a lending team on Kiva, so once the center is built and the women have learned how to start their new business ventures, they will have money available to help them get started. If you would like to join the team go to http://www.kiva.org/team/msbossnetwork. ;

Are You Dreaming Too Small
When I have an idea for something I dream big. I visualize what the entire business or idea looks like once it is completed. Some have suggested that I think small and take baby steps and this maybe good for some people, but it's not good for me. You see I figure if I am going to dream in first place I might as well dream big. I am not afraid of failure or success, so dreaming big works for me. It makes my projects exciting and keeps me motivated until I have completed them. Thinking about the outcome of my big dreams makes it real. Right now I am working on my Liberia project and to some it seems like an impossible dream, because they don't see the big picture all they see are the potential obstacles. For me I see the obstacles and I also know that there is always a way around them if you just keep moving forward.
So today my question to you is are you dreaming too small. If you are, I encourage you to dream big. What do you have to loose if you just increased your dream a little bit.

Believing In Something
In order to accomplish anything in life you have to believe in something. Once you believe in something you can share your passion with others. If you don't believe in what you are doing people will sense that and they won't support you. So whatever you do be passionate about it and believe in it.

New Business Center Will Bridge The Gap Between Women In Business
The Ms. Boss Business Center Is Going To Liberia
East Orange, NJ- Just five months after opening up the Ms. Boss Business Center in East Orange, NJ which is the first center that caters to women entrepreneurs in the city of East Orange, Audrey Bell-Kearney who is the founder and president of Ms. Boss International is taking the concept global. The Ms. Boss Business Center is a training and mentoring hub for women who want to learn how to start a business and for those looking for that ongoing mentoring needed to grow businesses that they’ve already started.
Audrey says that she is passionate about entrepreneurship, but she is even more passionate about uplifting and empowering women, so when the offer was made to her to go to Liberia and build a center there she simply could not refuse. The Ms. Boss Business Center will be the first entrepreneur training center dedicated to the women of Liberia. This is an exciting venture states Audrey. It is also a wonderful learning experience for me. I will be able to help the women in Liberia start businesses, but I will also be able to find out how the women in America and the women in Liberia can do business together. This will create more business opportunities making both groups of women global business partners.
Audrey and a small team will be making their first visit to Liberia in November of this year. For Liberia the season at that time is dry. Audrey who states that she hates being in the rain felt this would be the best time for her to travel Liberia. While there she will see the land where the center will be built. She also hopes to get a chance to talk to some of the women there to see what they need in the center to help them become more economically sound. So far the drawings for the center includes, a library, a computer room, an auditorium, a media room, a kitchen two restrooms and office space for the administrative staff.
To see drawings of the center go to www.TheNewLiberia.com. There you can also find more information about the new women’s business center planned for Liberia. If you read Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill he talks about the power of Masterminds. So don't just take may word for it try it for yourself. Once you do try it can you do me a favor and drop me a line on my blog to let me know how it worked out for you.

You're Invited To The Ms. Boss Pink & Black Fundraiser Gala
Hi everyone. As you may all know I am planning a trade mission to Liberia in November. MBI has been given some land to go there and build a women's business center. This project is really near and dear to my heart and completing it would mean so much to me and to the women of Liberia. I am having a fundraiser to help with the cost of the trip and to start the process for building the center. I would be very grateful if you would purchase a ticket to this event and also pass this flyer on to your friends and families. Also can you post this flyer to your Facebook if you have one. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 973-419-0631 or visit www.TheNewLiberia.com.
