Micro-Loans For Small Business Owners

There is an organization called Kiva. This organization provides small business micro-loans to entrepreneurs. Up until 14 months ago these loans were only available to individuals outside of the U.S. But now Kiva has made the service available to business owners here in the U.S as well. In order to take advantage of this service you have to sign up at The loans for small business owners in the U.S. are distributed by Accion USA which is a non-profit organization that came on as a field partner with Kiva. The requirements are not as tough as a bank for small businesses in the U.S., but they are not as relaxed as the requirements for those in other countries. Now if you want to become a lender, you can do so by lending just $25 by going to Kiva and opening up an account. To most of us in the U.S. $25 can't hardly buy business cards, but for entrepreneurs around the world in countries with high poverty levels, $25 could mean the start of a new life. Because I am going to Liberia and building the women's business center, I have decided to set up a lending team on Kiva, so once the center is built and the women have learned how to start their new business ventures, they will have money available to help them get started. If you would like to join the team go to ;
